French Sculptor Vérône

Self-taught recyclable-plastic artist Vérône was born in 1971 in the Parisian suburbs of Yvelines. Following a contraction of a serious illness in 2003, Vérône was made aware of the importance for her wellbeing and her need for creative expression. It was then that she developed an interest in textures and materials, along with a great curiosity for innovation and the experiences that accompanies it.

Vérône’s passion lies in what she deems as “Optical Art Kinetics”, whereby the likes of optical illusions, anamorphosis, and shadow projections recycled from once-discarded materials are put together to compel her viewers to consider the concept of overconsumption and wastefulness in society.

She believes that her artistic expression can be achieved with solely "the desire to create", and that the use of extravagant materials is not necessary in the process.
